Robert and I and our youngest three kids call the Berkshires home. Originally from Tennessee, we moved to Vermont back in 2004 for five years and fell in love with New England. When we had a chance to return, we took it. Can you blame us?
Winter is long in New England, but my husband, aka Captain Fun, fully embraces this season. And don't the seasons fly! Someone said life is a rollercoaster. In the beginning, you click, click, click along on that initial ascent. Then you hit the downhill, moving at what feels like 90 mph until you come to a screeching halt. Motherhood is like that. Those early days are long. Then suddenly, the years grow short. The change of seasons brings a steady reminder of how quickly these kids grow up.
Just sit back and watch them.
